Time for me

Monday, October 15, 2012

I spent the past weekend at my college Homecoming and reunion. I had a great time and was able to reconnect with a lot of classmates. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane. I had considered not going. There are so many things I need to do here at home that I never seem to find time to do, so I had a hard time justifying the trip to myself. Boy am I glad I went. It wasn't only the great time I had there, I am feeling so much more energized since I got back and I realize it's because I took some time for me. I get so caught up with what I have to or need to do that I ogten lose sight of myself. I'm finally beginning to realize that time spent on me is not wasted time; it's an investment. Before I went on this trip I was so tired all the time. Even when I had a day off I couldn't seem to get anything acxcomplished. I just got farther and farther behind and more and more discouraged. I am going to make time for me every week. Who knows, maybe I'll start making some of my goals!

Your own time for yourself is a not selfish. You have time to re charge and it makes you a better ( blank) type of person. Mother, wife, worker, . you get the picture. And why not. You are a special person. keep up the success. emoticon

IT IS SO HARD WHEN YOU HAVE FAMILY OBLIGATIONS OR YOUR TIME IS LIMITED, TO MAKE THAT TIME JUST FOR YOU. FOR ME, I FEEL GUILTY WHEN I DO IT. BUT I ALSO KNOW HOW MUCH BETTER I FEEL WHEN I DO TAKE THE TIME. IT'S THE FLACK I GET WHEN I GET BACK HOME THAT TAKES SOME OF THE JOY AWAY.

"Me Time" is an investment in your health. It's so much easier to give to others when you are at your best. Think of it like a bank account, if you don't invest in yourself you'll overdraw quickly.

I highly recommend The Unstoppable Women Challenge. It sounds like you're right ready for it. I think you can by the book on Amazon. I have it on my Kindle as well as the hard copy. I would recommend the hard copy.

I'm so happy for your choice to invest in yourself. I look forward to sharing your ups and downs with you. I'll be here when you achieve those goals.
