I have a feeling that getting outside and into a kayak is MUCH more exciting and fulfilling than doing it indoors at a gym with a fish game on the screen in front of you! I have a friend who kayaks, and she is very serious...like, she teaches classes for the state dept. of natural resources. She has offered to loan me one of her kayaks so I can go out with her and try it, but I'm hip-deep in school and taking care of the family, so 4 months have gone by since that offer and it hasn't happened. :/ Maybe next summer.
Last night I started writing down a few goals for 2013. Yikes, it's almost here!!! There are 2 triathlons I want to do, a half marathon, and maybe 3 century rides. Dan is cringing at the thought of all those fees, but he wants me to do it and he wants to be supportive. Ugh I can't wait to pay off all this debt so we can live again!!! Anyway, maybe by the time we get our income tax refund, it will be more acceptable to pay $75 per triathlon and $60 per race and $30 per bike ride. And maybe I'll even be able to spend an extra $10 to get the shirt!
My food is still doing really well. I'm really kicking the bad habit of eating crap right now! I've always done a good job of getting good balanced meals, but eating in between has been full of garbage in the past. I'm 2 weeks of eating clean right now, and in the past 3 days I haven't even needed to eat between meals. However, I did have an apple after b-fast yesterday because I knew I wouldn't make it to lunchtime on what I had.
Not much else is happening. I did ST this morning and got a good workout. My leg muscles are sore from running yesterday, and I could feel it on a couple of my exercises today, even though I usually concentrate on upper body when I ST. I did not make it to the "guys" section though. Still too intimidating. However, the 15-lb. dumbbells are still plenty challenging for most of my exercising, so I still have some time before I need to work on my nerve. ;) I hope y'all have a great week.
