Day 4 - My arms are killing me! :D

So, I woke up early and hit the gym. I tried a new cardio machine today...kind of looks like a pair of skis. I did 10 minutes of that and then headed downstairs to the weights. I started with 5lbs free weights. Then worked to the deltoid machine and then to the chest machine. I kept wanting to try this and that but my trainer said that you should never do a full body workout in one workout so I just focused on my arms and shoulders today. I also kept remembering what my trainer had told me, "You should always have a plan when you come into the gym." Well, I kind of followed that....I had a plan that I would try a new cardio machine and that I would work on my arms today but I know that he meant the specifics. I'm still a beginner to the gym so I don't know what the machines are called or what they do. I try to follow the pictures as close as possible though. I don't know what reps are either. Last my past post stated, my first meeting with a trainer was more of an assessment. Tuesday at 5am is when the REAL stuff starts and hopefully I'll gain a better understanding of everything. I'm nervous and beginning to feel my motivation about hiring a trainer go down BUT walking in the door is the hardest part for me so I think I can manage that. I've also been trying to eat more healthy. I've just decided to cut out french fries from my diet. If I do stop to eat fast food, I'll get a salad or chicken. I also want to cut ice cream out of my diet. :( ugh! It make me sad to type that. Those are the two foods that I crave the most. I also crave Root Beer and Starbucks ALL THE TIME but I don't think I can cut those out just yet. Hopefully my trainer will give me a better idea of what I need for my nutritional goals. With Starbucks, I don't drink coffee so I have is a tall pumpkin steamer or a tall soy green tea frapp. no whip. I also have with one of those drinks, a lemon loaf or pumpkin scone. Yummm! I can't stay away from those yet but I'm hoping my trainer will say that those are okay to eat. ;) Well, here are my daily goals: 1. No french fried 2 no ice cream 3. drink at least 8 cups of water 4. be IN BED by 9pm! Have a great Sunday everyone! Let's do this!
