Moving Right Along

This week has gone by so quickly that it's been a blur. The goals are still works in progress, but things are moving in the right direction, at least.
1. Lose ten pounds.

The scale moved in the downward direction this week for a change! I still have a ways to go to hit my goal, but I'm at least moving the right way at the moment.

2. Get 1000 minutes of exercise.

Minutes so far: 393! This is fantastic considering I've had a flare-up of an old injury that limits the amount of impact exercises I can do. I've had to cut out almost all of my treadmill work for now, but I am slowly making friends with the elliptical machine. We've come to an agreement that if I increase my workout length 30 to 60 seconds each visit, it won't leave me laying on the floor in a pile of rubbery limbs. I'm up to seven minute sessions with no significant after effects. I was also given a wonderful piece of advice to stretch well after my workout to avoid the kinds of muscle pain and stiffness I had after my first session.

I'm going to keep on keeping on this week. My mini-goals are to lose one pound, get in 25 minutes on the elliptical, walk at least 60, and start some circuit training. Go me!
