Week 9 of Marathon Training

So after getting sick, something else! During my run last Sunday, I got bit or stung by something and I had an extreme reaction to it. The bite was just behind my knee and it turned into a huge blister with swelling and redness about 3 inches all around. It hurt to bend it and walk, let alone run. So after going to the Doctor, had to take another couple days off! But it didn't deter me!
On Thursday, I went out for a 5k fun run with a local group and actually did my best 3.1 ever at 24:12 so I was pretty happy! Then yesterday, just an easy 30 minute run.
Today had a 12 Miles Easy, so I decided last minute to sign up for a local 15k and figured I'd just run the additional miles. Worked out perfectly. It was a very hilly course (rare in my area), but the weather was nice. I just kept my pace easy around 10:00 and enjoyed the run.
