Today is day two of using my ActiveLink activity tracker. I did have a little trouble reigning myself in yesterday as I work to establish my activity baseline. I think that I'll just walk about 20 minutes today since Sunday is my rest day. I will make an effort to do normal daily activity as much as possible. This is not the time to tackle any big cleaning jobs or marathon workouts.
I want to keep my baseline low to moderate, so that as my activity increases later I can still keep up with the new activity levels. The idea is to increase your activity level slowly over time. For those of you who know me, slowing down hasn't been in my vocabulary recently and sometimes it should be. Sometimes I become obsessive about exercising and that tendency needs to be controlled a little better!
I am hoping this tool will help me to use moderation so that I don't exhaust myself in my morning workouts and then be unable to do anything else for the rest of the day. I'm working toward becoming active for the whole day and not just during workouts. I'm off to my walk now!
