Food plan starts NOW

I was waiting for a new week to start it :) that and I was also waiting until we bought groceries XD because it'd be easier that way.
And well that day is today! I'm starting my good plan with portions.
It's gonna need some flexibility, and obviously I'll have to get used to it because I never ever measured my food except sometimes for recipes (and I rarely measure when I do recipes anyway). So this morning I had to measure how much cereal I took and how much soy milk! XD I didn't go as far as measuring the amount of peanut butter on my toast, but yeah. Flexibility, flexibility, flexibility.
I'm going grocery-shopping alone in a few, right after I plan this week's meals. This time I'm making a list and sticking to it :) like I used to! It's so much easier and I'm sure I won't get home only to realize I forgot a bunch of stuff.
I think what I like most about this food plan is that veggies are unlimited. I eat so much veggies and absolutely do not want to cut on them. The only ones I have to enter into the carbs are potatoes, sweet potatoes and fresh corn.
I need new ideas for snacking veggies. I always eat celery and carrots... I'm thinking sweet pepper and zucchini, do you guys have any other ideas? Because I always get a little bag of fresh veggies to complete my dinner meal but the celery-carrot combo is getting old XD
I'm excited about this and I'm sure I'll do fine. Yesterday I realized how much I eat bad on weekends. On weekdays I'm at job so I only eat what's in my lunchbag - I only bought a chocolate bar at the gas station next to our place ONCE in 4 months, so I guess I'm okay :P but when I'm at home everything is just there and sometimes I'm so bored I just eat mindlessly. I think the plan will also help me for this because I know I'll just want to stick to it and not cheat. When the "rules" are only in your head it's easier to ignore them, but the food plan is pinned on my pantry's door!
Okay well, I'm off to plan the meals! I hope my boyfriend will be able to deal with it, because he'll be cooking most of 'em... hahaha!
