Next weekend concludes another Done Girl seasonal challenge. What I really love about the Done Girl challenges is that they aren't psycho about participation. It's a very friendly, supportive environment. I would definitely make better progress if I did participate more fully. But hey, this is life, right? Like most of us, I don't have the leisure of checking everything at the door and living and breathing a weight loss regime 24/7. So, we have to find what works for us.
Just what does work for me? Setting weekly fitness minute goals. When I look back at August, getting up every morning for 30 minutes of fitness was a great way to start the day. I had hoped to build on that and add a little intensity to the workouts. But it didn't quite happen.
Someone recently commented that they can tackle either the fitness or the nutrition, but working on both at the same time is a big struggle. I couldn't agree more! When things fall apart for me, fitness is always my square one. Nutrition is the elephant in the room that I can't look in the face. I really, really struggle staying in my calorie range. I envy those who can do with nutrition what I do with fitness: make a plan and work the plan. I shy from even creating the plan because I'm so convinced I can't stick to it. If you have tips and tricks that work for you, please share. It's been a tough nut for me to crack, despite all the information I already have.
Thus ends one more seasonal challenge with a bit of a wimper. But I can't stop trying, so I've signed up for the next one! The theme is Fall for Fitness...right up my alley, right?
