Out of the Battle, but not out of the WAR.

When your body tells you something, you should really listen. I didn't... at least not at first.

I had signed up for the BLC20 Challenge and was placed on a wonderful team - GO MOCHAS! Shortly after starting, I developed a sniffle - no big deal. Tough it up and deal with it. I've had lots of colds. Slowly the sniffle turned into a sinus infection. Finally admitting defeat, I went to my doctor for some antibiotics. For a couple of days everything seemed to be getting better. I was holding my own although not really feeling up to much exercise - my head hurt constantly.

Slowly, I started to feel the migration of the cold from head to chest. I've had bronchitis multiple times, so I knew the drill, antibiotics and cough medicine. Only the first round of antibiotics weren't helping. A second trip to my doctor brought with it a chest X-ray. Really? it's just bronchitis, Right? Pneumonia? Really? Me?

Well, to say the least, I was taken aback and have been following the medication regimen and watching my diet. In this case, it's been a matter of monitoring what DH cooks! He really likes butter and meat!

Then last night I got news from my family that one of my last surviving uncles had passed away... not great news at all. Not looking forward to a 5 hour drive for his memorial, but fortunately my DH and DD will accompany me. I don't think I could do it alone.

So, When your body talks... listen!
