A small victory

Saturday, October 13, 2012

I've been avoiding the scale. CHICKEN. Not working out like I should, food fest (good choices, but excess calories are still excess). My belly is pooching out again. I use my Wii Balance board as my scale. And I got this little slice of good news...

Not sure whether to believe the scale as usually I weigh myself in my PJs and today I had sweatshirt, jeans & belt. I set the clothing adjust; it said I lost 3 lbs. Another trial when the house is warmer will make me feel more comfortable with celebrating the loss. I'm happy enough about the balance test for today.

Incidentally - When I move firewood, I usually file it under "Moving Heavy Boxes" Thoughts Sparkers? Can you think of a more appropriate entry?

Congrats! I wonder if my center of balance is totally balanced. I think not. I tend to top over a lot.

I've missed you - sorry I've been losering it up big time. Every semester, I think I have things figured out, and every semester, I spread myself too thin.

I'm measuring myself in microns now - wish this translated to body size. :)

I agree that you should use "moving boxes" to represent "moving firewood". they're similar and all that heavy lifting is a hard workout on your arms and legs.

Celebrate the small victories! Keep it up!

The balance is awesome, not sure about the wood, but heavy boxes sound about right. Hm, need to look into Wii Fit, it's something I've thought about, just haven't taken the steps.

Well done. Balance is difficult to achieve. And not just on the Wii balance board. I'm guessing that Bigpawsup is've been doing more for yourself than you know. It's just coming so naturally that you don't think about it. That's balance in its own right.

* Not sure what other options are on the list, but I would feel comfortable using that in lieu of the more precise "moving firewood"

I'd go with heavy boxes. Moving firewood is hard work.

You are eating right and probably doing more than you think about. You very possibly could have lost weight. Feel good and run with it. Just get back on track and you'll KNOW you are losing.

the balance is great and shouldn't have anything to do with weight or clothes. It should be measuring the % distribution of the weight between feet. Being balanced it awesome because it means you are working your muscles evenly. Also that your posture is very good.
