That famous Seattle rain

Saturday, October 13, 2012

Ah, it is pouring out. And I love it. The gardens need it, my flowerbeds need it, and I will be happy to see the poor little rosemary bushes out there perk up their fragrent little parts and pieces once again. All of our beautiful migrating fish (salmon!) will have higher stream levels to migrate through. I know that there are other parts of the country in true, rather than relative, drought, but I was feeling deprived these last few months.
And with that said--now I get to see what I'm really made of. I need to walk to the gym in about 30 minutes (it's 7 in the morning on a Saturday) to go work out, and it is bleak and wet outside. That's right--bleak and wet. Maybe I will have to include a hair dryer into the deep dark contents of my gym bag now...

My daughter is in Ocean Shores this weekend for a get-away and she said it was raining cats and dogs over there. But she was okay with that. Did you do with that hairdryer, or did you bring it along?

Great that you are up and working out! We rode from Austin to Mount St. Helens one October and didn't rain the whole time but that was a very dry October.

Have a great weekend!
