I've really been seeing the payoff of strength training this week! Here are a few examples:
1) On Wednesday, I put my hand on the side of my waist, but it felt different. I realized that when I normally put my hand there, there was a "shelf" provided by my mid-section fat that my hand could rest on. When I tried this on Wednesday, though, my hand had nowhere to rest and all I could really feel when I put my hand where I used to was muscle! (My stomach is looking more toned and flat than I can ever remember it looking.)
2) I used to have some fat store bumps on the sides of my hips that made them look huge compared to my thighs. I noticed on Thursday that these bumps are visibly gone and my hips look much more in proportion. (I don't know if that's strength training or weight loss, but I'll take it!)
3) Two complete strangers I ran into at different times gave me compliments on my upper body strength as they saw me hauling some stuff.
I'm really looking forward to doing my monthly measurements on the 21st - I'm pretty sure the numbers will reflect the results I am seeing too!
