Well the old desktop computer we had officially died last week, but we took it in to see if they could recover our photos, etc at least. This nonsense is expensive.
First there's the new computer. We'd decided long before our computer bit the dust that we would never have another desktop computer. It's a space sucker and it's SOOO nice to have a computer that we can take with us when we travel. Anyway, we not only decided to go with a laptop, but we also found ourselves drawn to Mac laptops. Long story short, we paid a pretty penny for this fine machine but know it is a long-term major purchase that we needed to choose wisely.
Then there's the data recovery from the old machine. That cost another good amount. It's worth it to me to recover all my photos that would've been lost, but that doesn't make it cheaper.
Throw on top of that an emergency purchase of 4 new tires for our van that is our main vehicle and an upcoming repair for our secondary vehicle costing several hundred dollars that we can't put off for more than another week or we risk ruining the engine. It's times like these I'm glad we began following Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace program and have an emergency fund. Granted it is still difficult to face all these expenses within a matter of a week and a half, but God is seeing us through. We are so blessed and by next month we should have our feet back under us, financially speaking. At least now I can come on here and get back to tracking and all. There's much to be thankful for as always.
