Party Time!!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!

Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Birthday's are the best ,there are presents ,love ones gather around and then there is cake and streamers and ice cream, and sometimes a trip somewhere. Anniversary's are cool too, more cake and ice cream and presents. Fridays are fun, last day to work of the week , sometimes it is dress down day , some people celebrate by bringing in party food.

But really any day and every day should be special a call for celebration and a party day. There is some good in every day just ask my daughter. Picture being a four year old scared and sick and having to go in for a pacemaker operation. When it is over you are sick from the anesthesia for hours after . And you can't eat or drink either. Plus it is two days before thanksgiving and your not sure if you will be home for turkey. You are still in the ICU so your mom can't sleep in your room ,they find a special room for your mom to sleep down the hall with a call button. You doze off around midnight and at 1210 you have a bad dream and wake up calling for mom. Mom is there in a heartbeat and said she was sorry she just fell asleep too. But you can't sleep and you want to have mom read a story but mom read all the books she brought .The nurse tells you a story but you want more. Mom is at a loss, what to do and at her breaking point she starts to sing Christmas Carols. Next thing you know their are six nurses in your room three doctors and the cleaning crew all singing to Sara in the hopes she will fall asleep .Sara is 17 now and doesn't remember all of what transpired that day and night she needs her parents to remind her of all that went on. But Sara never forgets everyone singing Christmas Carols and says she felt like she was at a party.

So please find some good in every day, even if it is I sat under a tree and read. I held my grandmothers hand in the hospital and we talked about her favorite recipes. The sky looked pretty on the way to work . Just celebrate life Celebrate away. Party like there is no tomorrow.

What a beautiful blog! Thank you for sharing your daughter's story. I am so happy to hear that she is doing so well, and that she sees a reason to celebrate every day. That is something I need to do to, just find the little things to appreciate, and truly cherish them!
