My very first (and not last) 10k!

Last Sunday I participated in San Francisco's 3rd annual Bridge to Bridge 10k, and what an awesome experience! We went from the Bay Bridge to the Golden Gate Bridge and back to Crissy Field. From the starting line you couldn't even see the Golden Gate Bridge and I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to make it, but I did! I ran with my best friend and our mantra throughout the entire race was "We can do this. We will do this. We ARE doing this!" It was awesome. My official time wasn't so great, 1:37:09, but now I have something to shoot for next time. I would like to shave about 10 minutes off, but I don't want to push it too much. I'm just so proud of myself for making it to the finish line. Ya baby, 6.2 miles!!!!!

Our first time is always a Personal Record, so no matter the time, it was good. emoticon

    You should be proud, good for you!! Who cares how long it took, it's the fact that you went out and participated that's the main thing. WAY TO GO !
