Starting Over

Friday, October 12, 2012

Well....I finally did it, and not a happy camper either. I have reached 195lbs. Not good. My stamina, dedication, motivation and such just flew out the window. I was doing so good there for a while, but between one thing and another the walking has
diminished and the swimming has decreased (not stopped entirely) due to cold and lousy weather. I did swim last week, almost every day, and this week so far, just yesterday. Hoping for maybe today, if it warms up, just a bit.

I have been working quite a bit so maybe that is one of the reasons, but eating is the main reason I have gained and not lost. Stress is the reason. Just everything happening at one time. Not good. Gotta get a handle on this. I feel lousy mentally and physically. Hopefully, fixing the physical will turn the mental around.

Well, I better start now. No better way to start than to go walking, then to make a sensible Dinner tonight and keep out of the kitchen tonight, except to get glasses of water.

Wish me good luck. No excuses this time. I have to think positive.

Thanks for the blog. I could REALLY identify with it. I KNOW what I should be doing as far as exercising, but, sometimes I just can't. I had surgery on both feet several years ago and a lot of times it still hurts to walk (both short and long distances). Sometimes though, I think I'm just using that as an excuse, but at the same time, I'm REALLY not into pain.

We BOTH need to just STOP beating ourselves up....after all, I'm sure someone else would be more than happy to do it for us.

Hang in there, emoticon .

A year from now you will wish you started today.

So, start today.
