I GOT THE JOB!!!

emoticon I got the jo-ob, I got the jo-ob! emoticon
Peed yesterday, drug test results and background screening results will be back next week, and I'm starting out at 50cents less than what I'm making now. Why should I care? I'll take more than that less than what I make now just to get out of this hell that I've been working in for the past 7.5 years! Besides, the commute will be much quicker, take about 30 minutes off the time each way (plus the associated gas money). Plus, I'm sure they actually give raises, like most employers do annually. I mean, a dime, a nickel would be fine, just something to show that they care about the work you do and the fact you have stuck it out with their crappy practices and marital bickering so dang long! Plus insurance (which I get from my husband's job anyway) and 401k! Yeah, baby! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thanks, guys! Yeah, you don't get paid for the extra commute, you even get in trouble some days for it! Going over two major waterways and 32 miles worth of highway that some days looks like I-4, some days takes you a half hour to go two miles over the first bridge. Then, of course, you get there and get reamed out for every little thing, even when you do whatever it is the told you to do, how they told you to do it the day before.

sounds like the commute alone should have you come out a heard. for most jobs you don't get paid for the extra drive time.
