It is a shame when I am telling the Doctor what is going on!!!

Still trying to set up the procedure that needs to be done to find out what the blockage of the pancreas is.

The Doctor's office called yesterday to say the Ins would not pay for the procedure until a scan with the IV dye contrast was done. I wanted to scream-- they did not and can not do that scan because the left kidney is not functioning properly and will not flush the dye. Do the doctors not read their own charts and not know what has and has not been done and why.

Now they are asking for a test that to be done Tues and I am 90% sure it has already been done-- have to check my records and see whether or not I am right and call the doctor back.

Now if I was not in the medical field I would not know what to ask or would not know enough to keep an eye on things. I wonder how anyone that does not know the medical field even begin to get through the system????? No wonder they come home aggravated, confused, frustrated and very sick. In home health we have to sort it all out and call the doctors to clarify.

So at the time he is home with the same thing wrong with him as when he went to the hospital. Getting sicker by the day. May be another trip to the ER before the weekend is over.

I just shake my head and take a deep breath.
