Catching Up!

Thursday, October 11, 2012

It has been a while since I wrote a blog so I thought I would catch up with everyone. I am having fun with my challenges, 5% emoticon A team is flying right along. My BL emoticon Tangerine team had been doing emoticon and the Christmas Melt of 2012 emoticon is unbelievably fun. I also just completed the Red Hot Heartbreakers Challenge with the Done Girls and am beginning a new challenge with my 60+ Team! Wow, these teams keep me on my toes. I push as much as I can and never compare myself to anyone else on the team but do my best to help out where I can with encouragement and support. My miles and points and minutes will never be the highest but I am giving you all my emoticon !
I finally completed all of the vein procedures on my legs, 5 throughout the summer and am glad for the relief it has brought me. I can walk easier and have less pain in my legs. emoticon
We are now off to find out what some other medical issues are and try to fix some of those. Next week I will be tested for Gastroparesis or Lazy Stomach. The winter is coming with lower temps and breathing issues. My arthritis is trying to kick up a notch and I am determined to keep on keeping on through it all. I am a little wiser how far I can push myself with my health issues each year and have learned to rest when I need and emoticon when I can.
I have finally entered the Facebook age and am able to keep in touch with my kids better. They haven't really figured out the writing letter thing so I will come to them through their medium. emoticon
My biggest dream right now would be to attend the emoticon Jingle Bell Walk/Run for the Arthritis Foundation in Wichita, Kansas on December 1. It is being held at Exploration Place where my 2nd son works and I would love to meet some of my Spark Buddies if they are there. I dream but then think about the cold and the difficulty breathing and walking and the transportation there. I am going to plan and try to do the walk even if I can't get the event itself. It will be a very hard goal to reach as I must rest about every 15 minutes of walking but we should all dream! emoticon emoticon
emoticon to one and all and have a Spook emoticon tackular month!

Nola. I amhappy to hear your legs are better than before. As for the Jingle Bell Walk. Do it at home in your own neighbourhood where you can control the time you walk and where you can rest. It is a great goal and I would love to see you reach it.
Hope all your other issues turn into nonissues soon,

Gini emoticon

I'm glad to catch up with what's happening with you. Glad your legs are feeling better. The Jingle Bell walk/run sounds like fun, especially if you can hook up with other SP from that area. I hope to see you around a little more now.

Good luck with the medical issues. Hoping they don't prevent you from participating in the Jingle Bell walk/run.

Hi Nola, with all the Challenges you're in I'd have a hard time keeping up. I'm glad things are better for you and the vein procedures are completed. My old "Arthur" has been screaming at me today as it's rainy and damp here and my old bones don't like it a bit. I'm praying for a good resolution to your health problems. . .You're a strong Lady to have to endure so much. . .I hope you're able to go to the Jingle Bell Walk that would be so exciting. Like you I can't overdo and have to rest and figure out what I can do and what is best for me. I'm so glad to know you're okay as I haven't seen you around the Team too much recently.

Hugs & Love,

Jill
