Yesterday I saw some definition in my calves for the first time this year (and since summer of 2010). I haven't done a lot of strength work on my calves, just let the cardio be their workout. But it felt good because I feel like my whole body is looking better now.
I first felt a change in my hip flexors back in August, followed quickly by my glutes and then by my thighs (I was doing squats a couple times a week back then). And then I started focusing more on my upper body. I would feel my abs on core workout days, and started feeling changes in my arms and shoulders.
Recently I saw some pectoral development. Not like most people could see, something you'd only notice if you live with yourself. And of course last week I saw I had an arm muscle without deliberately flexing it. So this is great to finally get down to the calves. It works if you work it!
