C'Mon October!!!!

OK it's going pretty good. I am so very grateful to my body for healing up enough to do the half marathon on Sunday. Did not think it was going to happen. I was a little sore in my hip adductors and on the tops of my ankles but it is all good now. All that is gone.

Today I went out and ran 3 miles. I was practicing the POSE running technique and I was just a hair over a 9 minute mile! WOWZER! By far my fastest! We are doing a 5 K on November 17th and I want to KILL my PR (29:14). Ok, the bad news.... my foot seemed to flare up a bit initially (seems OK now, 8 hours later). But now I am having pain in my left hip! UGH! Only when I walk. What on earth is that all about? I want to be so active but I hate pain! Praying this subsides! Never had pain here before!

I am going to see the podiatrist tomorrow even though my foot has gotten a lot better. Dare I confess I ran a half marathon on Sunday? Guess I'll have to gauge how mean he is, LOL!

I am looking at October as a month of totally new things for me.... On the 1st I weighed in at134, my lowest ever. Not going to weigh again until Nov. 1st. But OMG my body is changing in ways like I have never seen! My stomach is getting smaller (still have the wrinkly, loose skin bleh), my arms and legs are getting so toned! My back is looking really good! I am seeing a "cut" in my stomach that has never ever been there and I like it! I am so excited just to nail the rest of this month and weigh in somewhere in the 120's for the first time EVER on Nov. 1st.

On a personal, emotional eating, note..... Uh.... my son turned 16 this past week and got his driver's liscense. I love that he can now share.... well be our primary taxi driver.... but wow... Talk about worry and anxiety. My son confssed to me that the first day he got his liscense he was nearly in a bad accident. I thought he might be overdramatizing but it turns out my DH was also in the car and it caused my DH to really light into my son. Which NEVER happens. If it feaked out my husband then I know it was pretty bad. Thankfully I have 2 and a half months of binge free eating under my belt or it would be nasty..... LOL..... COOKIES!!!!! Take the worry away! LOL!

    Hope the aches & pains go away soon. Sorry about the son driving! Can't even imagine it. Great job on getting toned!

    Good job! I am so happy for you and determined that will be me someday! Never in the 120's because I am 5'8 and that would be too thin, but would love to be under 160 and that will be heaven! Just 14 lbs to go to be under that number! Good job on keeping on going even when you have pain and I will pray that all goes away soon! Good luck on your 5K in November!
