I just reached a goal!

Thursday, October 11, 2012

I'm really excited about this one. I have reached the lowest weight I had while I was on Weight Watchers.

About 4 years ago I was on WW and lost 17 pounds. 212 was my lowest weight. I plateaued, so I quit because I didn't want to continue spending money on a program I wasn't following.

Just over a year ago, I decided I needed to get serious about my weight and was suprised to discover I had gained 38 pounds since quitting WW. I have now lost that and as of this morning I am back down to 212.

This time I'm going to keep going. I don't have to quit sparkpeople to save money. I am so thankful that SP is free. Literally, that's what's kept me on the program. I know people who need to spend the money to push themselves to stick with the program--my sister is one of them, and that's ok. I've discovered that it works better when I'm not spending money on a weight loss program.

Congratulations on reaching that goal. emoticon
You don't need to spend lots of money for a program, SP is a great resource with all the articles, and logging your food helps to keep you accountable. emoticon
And there is so much encouragement from your Sparkfriends. Good luck on your journey. emoticon emoticon

Reaching a goal is such a wonderful feeling!! I too tried WW and I didn't follow it strict enough and I lost practically nothing and quit and my weight just flew back on. It's sooo wonderful that SP is free!!

Reaching a goal must be so exhilarating! Great job and keep going.

I have to agree that it is hard to keep going when you are no longer seeing results and I can't wait to reach my first milestone! But like many of us, we have a lot to do not just physically, but emotionally and mentally too!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful story with us!

I do both but I've not lost the required amount this session in order for the company to pay for it for me so I doubt I will do another session any time soon. Have a great day and good luck. Together we can do it.

Congratulations on getting back to your old weight. I know you can go further. There is more to weight loss than points. This way you'll really learn to make changes in your life that don't involve counting points.
