Sleep, Sleep, and more Sleep

Yesterday I finished out the day pretty decent eating wise, but I didn't get my workout in. I was so tired that I went home and went to sleep. I don't want fatigue to constantly be a reason why I am not exercising so I have got to make sure that I am getting to bed on time because when I don't get enough sleep I am a mess. I can't focus at work, I am unproductive, I don't eat right, and I don't exercise.

Today I did not have time to make my breakfast and lunch so I am stuck eating whatever lunch they give the kids here at school. The portion sizes are usually pretty tiny so the calories weren't too ridiculous.

This morning I had a cinnamon raisin bagel thin, some cream cheese, and jelly with a cup of coffee for breakfast. That was 280 calories. My concern right now is that if I don't get enough calories, I will be hungry and end up snacking on high calorie foods or binge at dinner. I am going to try my best to stay focused.

Again this all speaks to the need to get enough sleep, because had I have gone to bed on time I would not have been so tired that I came home and crashed without making my meals for the day before. So clearly the focus of this blog is get sleep, sleep and more sleep!

If anyone has any tricks and tips for getting sleep, and balancing a hectic schedule, please pass them on!

    Thanks MFTAGGFREEZE, LIZOFSTAD, BIGDOG18. I am going to try my best to get to bed on time. In order for me to feel refreshed I would have to go to bed around 8, 8:30 because I get up at 4 in the morning to get ready for work. I have a long commute. But I am definitely gonna try, 8:00-9:00

    You'll just have to make it a priority. Like the previous comment said...... give yourself a bedtime and act like Momma's gonna get you if you don't adhere to it.

    Do what you can. You can obviously feel the effects of not enough sleep.

    I do the same thing. My current plan of attack is to go to bed at 10:00 no matter what. It's worked pretty well. Hope this helps.
