Giving up coffee?

Thursday, October 11, 2012

Anyone that knows me is well aware of my affinity for the warm nutty goodness that is called coffee. I am dependent it on it and fairly grumpy without it.

I went cold turkey once in college and felt wonderful. Had more energy my TOM was easier and my skin looked great then I'm pretty sure end of term exams came up and I went back to my old

My fiance and I are avid coffee drinkers, to the point that our wedding party favors are coffee related...I haven't made up my mind totally about giving up my "liquid life giver" but I am seriously contemplating it. I accounts for 120-400 calories of my day (depending on how many coffee's I drink in a day.) I know it causes water retention and I think health wise it would be my best bet.

I don't think I could do cold turkey again, I really love my fiance and would hate to call off the wedding in a lack of caffeine rage. lol emoticon

I think tomorrow I will order a half decaf and see how it goes. Wish me luck!

Good luck!! I am joining you on a coffee-free voyage myself. After experiencing a few weeks of overly-high stress levels for myself, I have decided to try to bring everything back down to wherever "normal" is. Caffeine was certainly contributing to the craziness, so it's out .....for now.

But nothing beats starting the day with a hot cup of coffee.....even if it is decaf!
