One month since diabetes diagnosis. After doing lots of blood sugar checks after meals, I am realizing I definitely have a problem.
I tried exercising at the Y in the evenings with a friend, but it was very hard to get away in the evenings. Now I am starting to walk in the mornings on the treadmill. I find that if I don't do it in the morning, I don't feel lke doing it. It is surprising how quickly the body responds. I have only been doing this for two weeks. I could barely do 20 minutes and at speed 2.8 thought I would die last week. Today I did 52 minutes at 2.7 and it didn't feel bad. It feels good to have done it. Netflix on ipad helped a lot today. I got caught up in the movie and the time went by. With the ipad I can keep it right in front of me on the treadmill
6 weeks to a habit- 2 weeks down, four weeks to go. I am waking up early enough, but now need to get going faster.
Also the water and the food need to be worked on.
