The First Day

Thursday, October 11, 2012

So, yesterday was my first day back on Atkins induction. It's not undiscovered territory for me as I low-carbed before, once managing to lose about 15kg.
All in all, it was a good day. There was some temptation as I didn't eat breakfast (I rarely do) and the office has like 5 pounds of candy sitting on a table close to my desk. Lesson learned, I'll eat something low-carb for breakfast from now on.
After dinner (chicken breast and chicory greens) I was still a little hungry, so I boiled up some eggs, deviled them and ate 3 halfs at once. Hunger gone and I felt nice and satisfied.

I stayed well within my phase, but seem to be low on vitamins. Off to get a multivitamin, I guess.

Got in my 15 minutes of decluttering too, although it was not on the existant mess but rather to clean up the full garbage bag the dogs had pulled down from the cabinet and tore to pieces, scattering everything through my kitchen and hallway. Sigh. I try not to scold them too much as they're forced to be alone the whole day while I go to work and they're bored but still, I could do without stuff like this.
I also noticed that one of the cats (Ciske, a young unneutered male) has been eating my japanese peace lily which explain the diarrhea. The plant is now situated well out of reach of curious and crazy little tomcats.

In other news, it's getting pretty cold at night and the heating in my bedroom doesn't seem to work. Darn.
