St and cooking.

Well I only got partial ST in tonight but I did get some weigh training done on my arms.

I'm just getting tired of planning my days and nothing working out. I wanted to come home, walk the dog, ST, walk with the girls and eat dinner. Nothing and I do mean NOTHING went my way. They only two good spots - I did get a walk in (girls and Tazzy together) and I COOKED!!!

Ok, I just make black eyed peas and corn cooked up with oil and spices in a frying pan. I know it's not a real recipe, I just made things ups as I went, but it was cooking. Pots, frying pan, oil and stirring - that's cooking. I'm proud of myself and I did it. It actually tasted really good and I have a serving for tomorrow's lunch.

On goals: I made my step (plus more), stayed in calorie, did a little st and stretching. So fairly good day. Ran out of time to have any "me time". So hopefully tomorrow.

    Hey, you actually put pans on the stove and then put oil in them and added ingredients - that's cooking! emoticon sounds like you're doing great! You're great in my book!

    Every step, no matter how small, toward a goal is movement toward the goal! so, good for you! A little ST is better than none and a bit of cooking even with no recipe again is better than none! I'm proud of you!

    A lot of times when I cook, I don't go by recipes. I just get whatever vegetables I have and throw them together with spices or seasonings and that is my meal.

    I mostly use recipes for baking. When I am cooking food food, I don't usually have all the ingredients anyway.

    I love this blog, It is so simple and so real. This is about what many of my days are like, some days better than others. I have wild plans for dinner or exercise and if I get half of them done, then I feel good!! Last night I'd planned my two mile jog, but hubs wanted to walk with me instead. I look at it as a win because even though I only burned a fraction of the calories, he was with me, which is much better than him sitting on the couch. I've been dreaming of us exercising and eating right together for years! Seeing a glimpse of it now makes me so happy. So, cheers to your cooking, aren't leftovers from home cooked meals divine! I love it! I'm excited to see where your new road to cooking fun leads. I think new exercise routines and new recipes weekly are some of the very best ways to add zest and spark into our lives!!!

    YOU DID IT! I am so proud of you, I could just cry! You cooked! Don't minimize what you did in the kitchen, please. Not all cooking involves hours in the kitchen. It is ok to start early and learn your way around the kitchen and the idea of preparing warm meals.

Your whole world of cooking has just opened up. emoticon

As for the other stuff- isn't there some saying about "the best laid plans?" You can work the lower body and core today. Your ST for the week isn't blown. It is just on a different schedule. Flexibility is a good thing. It takes the stress out of ST if you do it as often as you planned, but do it when it works best in your busy day. You WILL get the rest in today. I know you will.

    my schedule is so hellish that I almost never succeed to do everything I wanted . so my planning has a "fix" part (urgent or important things) and a flexible one. sometimes the fix turns into flexible:P or simply disappears . yay for the cooking! emoticon emoticon

    Still - more than I accomplished.

Supper was "fend for yourself" night, no walk, no ST, no nothing. I did manage to get about 1/2 of my "homework" done tonight. I'll have to finish tomorrow. I have issues with my planning going awry too.

Tomorrow's the day both of our plans will work out. (Or at least we'll each manage to accept the changes with better grace?)
