Just when I thought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel.....

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

This has been a crazy month and by that I mean the past 30 days. About the middle of September my oldest son was hired by a company in St. Petersburg, FL. I am so proud and happy that he went out and found a job that will benefit from his Economics degree. I had no trouble planning his move and getting packed. Every time we came up with a game plan his father threw a monkey wrench in the mix and we had to start over. My son planned to move at the beginning of October. Now the plan is he will move next week.

Ok. I can handle the change of plans. No problem. But then his brother calls yesterday to say he is having this fourth shoulder surgery Friday. FRIDAY! IN TENNESSEE! I'm in North Carolina! His father is in New Jersey!

On top of that the cold front came through and we found out that my mother-in-law's heater went on the fritz. So today I drove to her house to see what the problem was, then back home to get my house straighten up and the laundry done.

Needless to say I will be going to Tennessee tomorrow so I can take my baby for surgery on Friday. We will then come home (he has fall break) so I can finish helping my oldest get ready to move. Dad comes home in Saturday (I will probably have to pick him up from the airport).

Today I was sitting here thinking that yesterday seemed that my week would be easy and now I am stressing and finding anything and everything to put in my mouth. It's time to find the duct tape. My only redemption is that I did a Walk At Home dvd with my exercise buddies and ate mostly vegetables for dinner.

So, I may not be on Spark for a few days, but I'll be thinking about all of you.
Thanks for letting my vent.

The best laid plans........ We have all been there at times and it is hard not to stress. This is life and we have to do the best we can with each day and basically remember that there is a higher power than we who is totally in control and who loves His believers and will care for them. emoticon

emoticon I feel your pain. I am in SC and hubby is in AL and we are trying to sell a house and the agent sucks. Our youngest now lives in Atlanta but his condo is in Durham NC and an arsonist set it on fire and it is basically totalled, and I am having some serious medical problems and we are praying now that a mistake made by hubby's managers, does not mean his termination from the company.

Will keep you and your family in my prayers
