It's been a while since I was happy enough to break out my wiggle butt dance, but today called for it.

As if I needed any further indication that it's the right idea for me to become a trainer...

I registered for the certification course yesterday and mentioned that to Derek. I'm going the first weekend in November. Derek in turn mentioned it to Kyle, who is the fitness manager at my gym. Kyle got super excited about this, and was asking Derek when I was going.

Kyle stopped me as I was leaving the gym today to ask me some stuff and generally just get a feel for how I am. All of two minutes into the conversation, he dug around for one of his business cards and said that if I ever needed any help with anything to do with the certification (coursework, the exams, etc), then all I had to do was get a hold of him and he'd give me a hand. He demanded (yes, demanded) that as soon as I was done with the course, I e-mail him my resume immediately, and he's going to talk to whatever recruiter I end up seeing to make sure I'm directed to that gym rather than another one. Then when I actually did leave, Max (another trainer) was out front with one of his clients. He saw me and went "RAVEN! Joining the team?" I said I was working on it, and he got a huge smile on his face and went "GOOD! Keep working on it!"

I think they like me.

And I think I'm going to like working with them. It certainly seems safe to say that it's pretty much a guarantee that I will be.
