Went biking last night with my hubby. He's delightful. He wants to go see that movie, Taken 2, and the plan was to go last night, 6 pm showing. I was also supposed to go to the gym during lunch, however, i ended up working through. Ron suggested we forego the movie and instead jump on the bikes, so we had a quick 9 mile ride through Terry Hershey Park! He's wonderful. Hopefully we'll get to see it Friday or Saturday evening.
I brought my gym bag today, gonna try and walk/run a bit. Which brings me to the point of this post. I've mentioned before that i'm not a runner, but runners have it so easy :) (tongue in cheek of course) there's some truth here, want to exercise? throw on your shoes and go! you actually ENJOY your workout! Ron loves to run... so i'm making a second effort. It's going to require me doing my PT again, bad knees. And i'll have to work up to actually being able to run. As of right now I can't run for more than a 1/4 mile without cursing the ground, my feet, my knees, the air, etc etc. But there are lots of plans out there for working your way up to running a 5k.
There's an 8 week plan i'm working on. Week 1 - Walk for 6 minutes, Jog for 1, Repeat 3 times. 3 times this week... I can totally do week 1.
