Good weigh in today. I am 2# away from my first goal of a 10% weight loss. I got lost for a few weeks, but am refocusing and this was a better week. I continue to be pretty good about foods but not so good about exercise.
This week's lesson learned - I can lose weight just watching foods. But I lose more weight, have more energy and feel better overall when I exercise too. I can exercise at work - I take a 30 minute walk every day on my lunch break. This gives me a break from job stresses as well as gives me time to move. I try not to think about work, but sometimes I do, and that is okay. Being away from my desk gives me time to think things through before I pick up the phone or type an e-mail.
I need to face up to the fact that I may not use the exercise bike. I feel bad because it was an expensive purchase, but I don't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I'm not going to completely discount it right now - maybe when the weather is colder I will use it more. But I need to stop setting myself up for failure by setting goals I don't want to keep.
