Exercise in Disguise

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

The sun hasn't broken across the wide prairie yet. This is a great time to work on the spring garden layout. Out comes the graph paper and the cut-outs from magazines. The colored pencils, too. Dreams on paper.

After the sun lightens the southern Colorado sky I will go out, rake, and then take the hose to form shape of my garden. If I'm satisfied I will haul some rock over to form the border. All the while I'll be visualizing the goal of that beautiful garden.

I will try to visualize in 3D. Toofa pots, whisky barrels overflowing with vines. A cobbled path to this main garden.

Exercise for the soul, spirit, mind and body.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments and encouragement. Hubby fenced in an area so that I can garden to my heart's content. I left my iphone at the market and can't retrieve it til Saturday. Then I'll get "before" pictures.

I am overjoyed no goats or antelope can get into the space.

So well described it almost seemed like I was there!
How many feet or yards wide/long it it all going to be?
Hope you'll take pictures and post them, I'd love to see your progress.

Wow I feel like I want to start working on one just from reading your blog. I think visualizing is beautiful, and I am trying to learn more about planning ahead. Great peek into a beautiful garden that already exist in the mind of the artist.

Wonderful! Visualise your dream. Plan and then put it into action.
Can we expect some pics when your dream is realised?- as it surely will be!
