This blog post is for myself...everyone else will be bored reading this, LOL. I'm very visual & I need to be able to see my goals in order to be successful.
I have about 79 lbs. to lose to get to my goal weight. (Deep breaths...one day at a time...) I stink at math, but if I lose 2 lbs./week (8 lbs./month) I should reach my goal in 9.5 mos., which is around July 2013...right in time for my 38th birthday.
Exercise:
Monday-Friday 30-45 min. of cardio. Walking is my cardio of choice. It's gentle on my knees & I can take my Lab doggy, Dexter, with me. He's my new exercise buddy. I also really love Leslie Sansone DVDs. It's starting to get chilly out & has been raining, so I can just pop in one of her DVDs and not miss a workout.
Tuesday/Thursday Do 30 min. of strength training with free weights & a DVD (Bob Greene or Jackie Warner) ; do one of my Pilates or Yoga DVDs (Gaiam has awesome ones!)
I also plan to reward myself with non-food things. Food is such an addiction (as is SUGAR) & I really need to make a positive change.
Rewards:
-20 lbs. = manicure &/or pedicure
-40 lbs. = trip to the bookstore to get a few paperbacks
-60 lbs. = hair cut & highlights
-80 lbs. = new wardrobe, a swimsuit & a cute summer sun dress :) (Better start saving up now!!!)
Does anyone out there have any good ideas re: motivation? Please feel free to share them with me. I'm going to put together a new Dream Board/Binder this week to keep me on track. I've also been re-reading weight loss success stories here on Spark, but also on Huffington Post.
This is going to be a GREAT week! :)
