Day 15...

Halfway through one month of this journey....

Five percent through the 300 days.....

Six percent through the 100 lbs. I want to lose....

Ahhh..... can you tell I'm getting ready to do my math homework? Yesterday was a very busy day. It went at a break-neck pace. I got up with intentions of taking the dog, and myself to our respective doctors. As I was getting ready for my appointment, I got a phone call. The doctor was not in today. Could I reschedule? I did. Then I called the vet. No appointments open, so my husband and I went into town to run some errands. When we got there, we found that the bank was closed for Columbus Day, but we managed to get everything else accomplished. Then we came home, ate a little lunch and headed out to see his mother for a bit and then it was off to my Creative Writing class. I stayed after for a bit discussing a classmate's work, and then my husband took me to the river. We sat at a picnic table eating the low cal fare that he had scored from the grocery store. There were little turkey sausages, triscuits, berries, peanut butter and apples, and some water to drink. It was very sweet and thoughtful of him to surprise me that way. It made me smile.

So yesterday was also my second weigh in. That did not go well. I didn't lose anything, and I needed to lose 3.5 lbs. However, I didn't gain anything either and I had a cushion last week where I had lost 6 lbs. instead of 3.5, so I am only off my goal by 1/2 a lb. Not too bad. I am sure it will get better this week. Just had a couple of rough patches last week. I can do this!

My husband commented yesterday that I was looking smaller, so that made me feel better about an otherwise disappointing weigh in. I think I'm going to be able to make this goal. Hooray!!!

Peace and Blessings,
