So I lost another 2 lbs last week, which is 2 lbs less then what I weighed before, Woohoo!!!! However, my goal is 5 lbs a week. And while I realize the last week of Sept. was unusual, no bike, pity party, etc. I still need to find more ways of packing in a good workout in order to bump my numbers.
I used to have a gym membership to LA Fitness. It was right on my way home from work. Iíd bike to work and hit the gym on my way home, it was great. Then I changed jobs and my new office was in the opposite direction. So I had to pass my house on my way to the gym. And of course, thatís not going to happen. You see; if my rump comes within a certain distance of my couch itís magnetically drawn with a force slightly stronger then the gravitational pull of a Super-massive Black Hole.
But I work for a university now, and they have a new, high tech gym/rec. center. If I take a slightly different route home I will be able to hit the gym after work.
I figure if my bike commute coupled with my portion control nets me at least 2 lbs a week, then a good weight training workout 5 days a week could bump my number closer to my goal.
And if I can get my energy level up a little more, then I might be able to get up a half an hour earlier to do my Pilates DVD in the mornings before work. (Though thatís a bit ambitious at the moment.)
Itís a plan!
