Thankful #2

Tuesday, October 09, 2012

Today I am thankful for my family. The close immediate family I see all the time and the family members that for whatever reason I don't get to see anymore. And for those family members that are family by choice, you know the ones, they are such a big part of your life that they are somehow closer than blood relatives. I am even thankful for the family members who have broke my heart... I love them, cause if I didn't it wouldn't hurt so much. God has blessed me with a great family that gave me my roots (and sometimes fertilized me)... but they ALL have helped me grow into the person I am today.

Sounds like my family but we need to forgive and move life is too short not too our family has learned this the hard way and it strange getting together now. Often times the don't even remember they have said something hurtful to you. and we may take what they say wrong. My cousin was away on vacation when my mom passed away. After his sister called him to tell him what had happened he called the house and told me he was sorry it had happened but did i expect her to live for ever? i was so mad at him if i could have reached thought the phone and hit him I would have. and we did not speak for several months and we have yet to talk about mom with each other and at one time we were a close family. not we can go months with out speaking. this blog is a good reminder we need to be thankful for our families and forgive each other when needed thanks for the reminder.
