Dreading tomorrow!

Dreading tomorrow BECAUSE....it is VET DAY, and I am taking three of my six cats to the vet for their yearly checkups. Cats are smart! They know what a pet carrier means. None of them have been in or even seen the pet carriers since last year, but THEY REMEMBER!!!!!! They know when they see the carriers that SOMEBODY is going to that place where they are probed and prodded. So they RUN...FAST...and HIDE!!!!!! However, I am smart, too, SOOOOOO...I have figured out a way to get them into the carriers that makes them eager to climb inside. However, it is time consuming, and since I did it that way when they went to the vet last year...if they remember, then it won't work this year.

WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!! emoticon

I have the same problem with my two and it's amazing how smart and strong they are! I finally had to buy plastic carriers I can take apart and put back together easily so that once I'm at the vet, I can just take the roof of because they won't leave the carrier any other way once we're in the office. emoticon emoticon

Cats are SO smart! My Sable (profile pic) absolutely hates getting into a carrier. I've tried everything. I found a new carrier that opens on the top. Much easier to get her in that...when I catch her...which is an ordeal in itself.

Hope you didn't have too difficult of a time today!

I put mine on the back porch ready to go and then get the pet out in my arms and put them in before the know what happened.

My two cats have yet to make it to the vet. They are indoor cats so are not exposed to other animals. However, I would like to get them checked out. So far they have outwitted me, my daughter, and a few friends. I keep trying; my cats are cunning, agile and powerful when it comes to getting them into a carrier.
Good luck. May the Force of the Universe be with you. lol
