1200 Calories Before Lunch...

One of the great things about hiking is that you get to eat - a lot!
A couple of turkey and cheese sandwiches (with mayo!), hardboiled egg, couple of apples, grapes, trail mix. Gotta keep that fuel coming.
I avoid granola bars and other such items. It's just candy in disguise... too much sugar for sure.
Yesterday's hike took me past a pretty little waterfall
through a camp in the woods
sunshine overhead (but very comfortable temps)
to our highest point at 4115'
We did 15 miles, gained 3100' and were back by 12:30. Started at 7:00, took a couple of snack breaks. Not a bad workout for a Sunday morning.
