Rewarding action - The Daily Motivator by Ralph Marston

Monday, October 08, 2012

I like to read "The Daily Motivator" by Ralph Marston. Today's post was just too good not to share, since it so pertains to our Spark journey...

"Rewarding action"

When you donít feel like making the effort, thatís when making the effort will make the biggest difference for you. Instead of giving in to negative momentum, interrupt it.

The best way to feel like doing it, is to do it. Step beyond your negative feelings and reward yourself with some positive action.

Feeling sorry for yourself will just give you more reasons to feel sorry for yourself. Ignore the temptation for self pity and embrace the opportunities for immediate self improvement.

*If you feel the need to make an excuse, see it as a very clear indication that something is wrong. Instead of offering excuses, take the opportunity to make improvements.*

Amen, Mr. Marston. I'm adding this site to my daily morning email - great way to start the day!

    You ROCK, Nancy! TFS!

Just what I needed after a three hour commute and stressful day at work. I can and will make the effort to exercise for at least 15 minutes. emoticon
