Today I'm paying the price for our fun weekend in several ways. Although I ate pretty healthy yesterday my weight was up this morning - think it had anything to do with all the sodium in my healthy Subway sandwich? Probably so, but the good thing about sodium is that it washes away.
My knee is still a bit achy so although I totally enjoyed my morning walk and REALLY am wanting to do 3 more miles I'm restraining myself until time for Boudreaux's walk. The good news is that it didn't hurt at all when I did my ST earlier this afternoon - the last time (3 days ago) I did squats it ached enough that I quit after 15. I'm counting that as a win!!
The third way I'm paying is that I'm TIRED today - another good reason to hold off on that walk. I feel great, just tired. Perhaps that comes from keeping up with 9 and 12 y.o. boys LOL.
On to my goals for October:
ST every day (one break day per week allowed) - work one body part a day - at least 90 reps total. Yesterday was upper body and it was MUCH easier than Saturday's ST session. I completed 130 reps of upper body exercises. I was going for 150 but my arms felt tired on Flys and Lateral Raises so I cut each short. That's ok - my streak is still going!! AND I'm seeing more muscles in the mirror - I love that!!
Cardio - at least 60 minutes 6 days a week. As I mentioned yesterday, we did a 3 hour hike so it was a good cardio day. In all I ended the day with 236 cardio minutes.
Nutrition - continue to increase the fresh vegetables and fruit in my meals while eating less animal products and processed foods. Did ok here but want to do better. While my food was healthy, it contained way too much sodium. I'm doing much better today.
