I really pushed myself today. I really don't like the dreadmill, but since the DVD and tv are down there now there is no excuse. I had planned just to do the normal 30 minutes and then Walk it Out. One of the challenges I have in the Trick Or Treat challenge is to do Victoria's challenge. Apparently, this is a challenge that Bob Harper came up with for one of the contestants on the Biggest Loser. Her name was Victoria.
The challenge is to do 30 minutes of interval training. Walk slowly for 1 minute and then walk quickly or jog for 1 minute and continue changing off every minute for 30 minutes. After 10 minutes of walking on the dreadmill, I thought I would try it just to see what it was like. The next thing I knew, 10 minutes had passed. I thought to myself that I would go for 15. Then I thought that it was stupid not to go for the whole 30 so I got the challenge done. I watched Mamma Mia and did the whole 30 minutes.
What a workout! Wow, 2 months ago, I was lucky to be able to go above 2 miles per hour on that thing. Now I was going from 2.5 - 3.5. I would definitely do that one again.
After 45 minutes on the dreadmill (I left half the movie for tomorrow), I did another 35 minutes of Walk it Out as I wanted to get a 5k done. For the challenge, you get extra points each time you do a 5k and each time you do circuit training so I have started to change off. Ended up with over 10,000 steps and 781 calories burned. Going for 15,000 steps today so I will do something else later to get more steps.
I am really glad to know that all of the exercising and workout I did with the Wii and Leslie Sansone really did make me stronger. I always thought if you weren't going to a gym, how could you be working out. Well, I guess I was.
On a side note, that job is already taken which is fine as I am busy enough with the real estate stuff. I have a couple of new buyers again and two closings coming up so, as long as that stays steady, we should be ok :)
