Woke up this AM to a beautiful, sunny autumn day here in New Hampshire. The temperature was only about 45 but I didnít care because the sun was shining and I felt wonderful.
Saturday, I did something I havenít done since last March. I spent 12 hours playing SIMS 3. I did get up and do some things (loaded and ran the dishwasher, sorted the dirty laundry to take to the laundry mat on Sunday, stripped & remade my bed, put away some clean clothes, made dinner, etc.) but mostly I just vegged. I seemed to really need it.
When I woke up on Sunday, I felt so refreshed and re-energized. I tackled some more housework, went to the laundry mat and the grocery store, and made dinner. I think I had a more relaxing weekend because the sun kept peeking out of the clouds in between rain storms.
This morning as I lay in bed after hitting the snooze alarm for the 5th time, I looked out the window and swear that the tops of my neighborís trees looked like they were on fire! The sun was just cresting over the horizon and hitting the top of the trees which are in full autumn bloom of red, gold, and orange. What a beautiful sight to awaken to.
Needless to say, hitting the snooze alarm so often this AM made walking before work impossibility. I will get out there this afternoon and see what autumn colors have erupted around the campus.
Have a fabulous day!
