Another little hiatus

Monday, October 08, 2012

So I had another little hiatus...I have been extremely discouraged lately and a little depressed.

With all the hoops I've been jumping through I still don't have health coverage, and I'm not going to get it until January 1. At this point though, I am sick of waiting. My back and neck have been giving me a lot of trouble. So I've worked out a little schedule with my chiropractor that will let me continue seeing him but won't cost a fortune. Mainly I go in a minimum of once a month, more if I need it for 6 times at a discounted rate.

I also spoke with my husband last night and we're getting back in the gym this week. I know part of the back issues is I haven't been keeping my body moving. We're going together so that he can keep me in check and I can help motivate him to move. We're starting off at 2 days a week this week. We might be able to move up to more next week, but for now this will be something.

Have another big project coming up at work which will cause some long days again (yay OT money for the holiday's). But I figure when that comes up, I'll work out some in the morning. I'm up before my husband, but he gets in the shower first while I dink around. No reason to dink around when I could be exercising. So that's what I'll do. I am determined not to push myself too hard, but I do have to do something.

Good for you for making a plan and getting your husband involved.

When I'm working, I work out in the morning, too. That way it's done, no excuses later on can tempt me from exercise, plus it feels good. Its nice feeling like I've accomplished something with my day before I even get in the shower! Lol
