Hey there! Yes you passed the test (SparkMail)... peanut butter is a good protein/fat! If you track your foods here, it's so much easier getting the right amounts of fats, carbs and proteins in your daily diet! I use it every day and eat accordingly. Very important, I think. In fact sometimes to change it up and trick my body, I will eat a little higher in carbs one day and the next day try to eat more protein. It kinda works, but I have to remember to drink lots and lots of water, for sure. I would also like to know what type of work you do from home.... just SparkMail me....please please please... You are Good job on the house cleaning too...good exercise, you'd be surprised! Put on some good music when you vaccum SPARK
Glad you didn't take my comments the wrong way, it's just that a lot of people jump into what they think is a low carb plan without doing any reading up and get very frustrated when they feel awful the first week or don't lose as much as they think they should. There's a good bit of science to understand about it, especially in how it affects your insulin and other hormone levels.
If you ever change your mind stop on by - we're always glad to have more company!
Peanut Butter does work as a protein! It looks like you are starting your day of right! I have watched a lot of your vlogs and you really remind me of myself. I have heard you talk about struggles with fast food and pizza and those were my problem foods. I mention this because sometimes it is helpful in the beginning and is what I focus on that every little thing does not have to be perfect (for example it is ok if I miss a protein on one meal, or if I have an extra yogurt...etc.) as long as I am able to stay away from those trigger foods. Also I was wondering if you could send me a personal message about what kind of work you do from home because I am looking for legit companies that offer that kind of work. Thanks! Have an amazing day!!
Peanut butter is definitely a protein and the fat in it is mostly good fat. Try the lower sugar or natural varieties if you can. Sounds like you've got a plan worked out...good for you! Have a good day!
I see you're on the Living Low Carb team, but I'm wondering what plan you're following? Oatmeal and bread and bananas are taboo on the early stages of all low carb plans, and for good reason - they're virutally all sugar. (Starch is simply the way plants store sugar, and the enzymes in your saliva break those starch bonds before you even swallow and turn the starch back into sugar.) Those foods will spike your blood sugar faster than a Coke, and then cause a crash a couple of hours later. You need protein and fat in your breakfast. Carbs are empty calories, no matter how attractively they're packaged. The only place you should be getting carbs right now is from low-sugar veggies. The sooner you ditch them the sooner the carb cravings will pass.
I'm not meaning to be harsh here, but you at your starting weight you should be losing 8 to 10 pounds per week on low carb and feeling energetic and well to boot. If you need some advice or suppport feel free to post in the team forum. There are a lot of knowledgable, friendly folks there!
