I don't know how to begin

this whole site seems scary and complicated.
I wish there was a quick fix to get the results I want and need.
But there aren't any.
None exist. Nothing will quickly remove the unwanted pounds in a safe and healthy manner.
Apparently!
So, links links links, I need to fiddle around this site to try to find the help I need.

    Just take your time looking around the site at all there is here. It really isn't as complicated as it looks. Be patient. You are embarking on a fantastic journey and you have already taken the first step toward fitness. The lumpy, bumpy feeling will leave as you eat more healthy and exercise.     I found that by concentrating on the fast break guidelines, I learned the site. On this page here http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/
    stage_1overview.asp Step 4 is site tips and tricks. That is where I figured out what I needed and where it was. Hope this helps. It can be overwhelming to make lifestyle changes all at once. Right now I am just trying to eat better. Exercise will come. Pick one thing you want to improve on and focus on it for a week or two. The changes will come then add the next change.

    As far as this site is concerned, you will be an old pro in no time at all, and flying around it wondering why you had difficulties :-) Just play with it and see where it takes you - you honestly won't get lost (that is what those back buttons are for:-)

    You will find that if you apply the baby steps method (changing only one or two things and allowing your mind/body to get used to the changes before adding something else to the mix) you will find it enjoyable going on this journey - you may not even notice the changes until one day you notice that your clothes are too baggy on you! Just don't let what happened to me, happen to you. I was with my Dietitian and stood so she could measure my waist. To my horror, my trou fell down totally unaided. At least it was only her and I who witnessed it. My daughter, however, wasn't so lucky. She was going on her daily walk, and hadn't realized just how much too baggy HER clothes had gotten on her. Not only did her trou fall down - they took her knickers with them - LOL! BTW - it took 16 months for me to lose just over 50lb - the slow losses really ARE the better losses.

    This is an excellent site and it is not that hard to use. You can figure it out!

    Remember, the weight didn't get put on overnight, nor will it come off overnight. Slow and steady does win the race.
