I've taken a break from this site, and I'll probably continue it for some time. My Mom passed away tonight. She had a ruptured brain aneurysm last week, and the damage to her brain was just too much to come back from, so we let her go today.

It came as a huge shock to all of us. She had type 1 diabetes from the age of 12, and had a kidney transplant almost 8 years ago. She was also on the pancreas transplant list. She's an organ donor, but I'm not sure what they could donate of hers. We were hoping she could donate her heart and lungs because those are so rare to come by, but I don't think those were possible.

She was an amazing, strong and beautiful woman. She was only 52, her birthday was on Monday, the day after the incident. It's hard for me to imagine life without her, but I'll have to manage. At least I have support in the people around me.

I'll still be taking care of myself and doing my best to be healthy, but I think I need some time away to be with my family.

Peace & love to you all.
