Week 3 (my first week in the challenge) was a bit bumpy as far as activity. I just felt so lazy! It's so tough to get going when you've stopped. I had a really good workout one day after I woke up, and wanted to do that again, and I don't know why I didn't (lazy, I'm sure). I know I've got a lot going on in my mind, and what I SHOULD do is turn to activity when I'm feeling blah, or upset, or stressed. If I turn that into a way to better my mood, maybe it would be easier for me to say, "Okay, let's do this!".
I signed up for a virtual race, for Dec 2-8th. I was going to sign up for the 1 mile beginner's walk, and then decided to go for the 5k Walk. This is kind of big for me, as I've never done anything like this. I signed up a little further out than the required 5 weeks, to give myself time to build up and train. I hope this will help me feel like I've got something that I need to keep up with and feel accountable. I think this could be a good step into getting myself (once and for all) into a more active lifestyle.
This week I want to start using the gym at my complex. I think tonight may be the first night I start that. Hoping this week I get out of my lazy funk!
