I'm here!!

Sunday, October 07, 2012

The wedding yesterday was great! We all had a good time and the food was fabulous. Aside from the wedding cake, there were no sweets. We had shrimp, cheeses and pepperoni to start. Followed by butternut squash soup, salad and then the dinner of prime rib. Dinner came with mashed garlic potatoes, all kinds of roasted root veggies including brussel sprouts, parsnips, squash and turnips. Everything was so good and I was so full but a good full.

After 5 hours of sleep, we left for SC and arrived here at 4pm. Unloaded half of the van and saved the rest for tomorrow. The important stuff is unpacked and put away, what is left are just minor things. It's time to chill out. Finally peace and quiet. I'm sure we'll sleep good tonight and then we can begin relaxing. All stress is off. The trip was uneventful with very little traffic although we did hit a lot of rain in VA (in fact throughout the whole state but when we hit the border, it cleared up and started to get warmer. It's 85 degrees out and time to break out the shorts and bathing suits.

It's a happy time!!
