I love when I am in rhythm with my body. Sometimes eating well and exercising requires external support, and lots of rewards, constant redirection, lots pep talks to myself.... and sometimes I wake up and I want to move. I want to run. I have no urge to eat that donut or nibble on those chips. I am intrinsically motivated. My veggies look enticing. I have all the crap out of my system and my body gets in a natural healthy rhythm of eating well and moving. I am in one of those rhythms this week. I feel good. I am energetic. The cold that knocked my whole family on their butts, it just gave me a tickle in my throat for two days. I did 15 miles yesterday, and I am not even sore today. There was chocolate and donuts at work this week, and I said "no thank you" without regret. I added minutes to my normal workouts and I made all my movements nice and big. I sweated buckets this week, and it felt great! I am the happy runner this week. It has been a good week. I am going to roll with this streak as long as I can.
