Today, received my SP trophy for 250 minutes of exercise this month. ALREADY! and that's only for my recorded aerobic or strength/resistance minutes, not my just walking around minutes. So you know I'm working out. Keeping my calories within my recommended range. Its been only about a month since I got serious, so I'm not yet into the new habits of better eating. The exercise, the hunger, has me grumpy, aching, and WHY DOESN"T ANY OF THIS SHOW?!?!?!?! Actually, am feeling fatter than when I started. Intellectually, know its because as my muscles develop, the fat feels looser and sloppier, which it does. Also know that it takes 10% reduction for the difference to show. For me that's 23 lbs, not 3! But am right now, at that frustrated level. Particularly since my scale is showing no difference from last week. :( Thanks to my food journal, do know its because my diet has been a little heavy on the carbs rather than the veggies and protein. Which will be addressed this week (she says after having banana waffles for breakfast). fortunately, while I'll do the weekly weigh in for SP, for my short term goals, I measure monthly. Still, feeling that little bit of frustration we all feel periodacly while we go through the process - that frustration that far too often translates into why bother. But not this time!
